Taught English as a second language online, first from my apartment in Hanoi, Vietnam, then as the pandemic
began, I moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Online teaching was extremely satisfying and rewarding. Watching
regular students improve their language skills with me is something I will remember forever. Some students
were already at a high level of English speaking, allowing the lessons to be more like casual conversation,
learning about each other's countries and cultures. I was responsible for making and organising my own
lessons, held via webcam, whilst setting curriculum dependent on each student's needs and abilities.
